NFL Week 1 Sports Betting Picks Hilton SuperContest

The Hilton handicapping contest consensus results are in and very strong agreement bets have evolved for week 1 NFL picks. As is generally the case, road favorites rule the day insofar as Joey Bagadonuts favorite bets.

Miami Dolphins laying three-points at Washington Redskins has gotten 70 percent of wagers, followed very closely by Green Bay Packers -6.5 at the Chicago Bears with 68 out of every 100 bettors laying the lumber in the Windy City battle.

Sports handicappers are not buying into Rex Ryan turning around the Buffalo Bills, at least not in week 1 as the Indianapolis Colts, Buffalo’s foe this week is favored by 66 percent of gamblers.

Joe Duffy and Peter Loshak give expert previews of week 1 NFL bets.

The most popular home team is the Arizona Cardinals at home to the New Orleans Saints with 65 percent. However, with home field advantage worth three-points, the fact that Arizona is laying only one-point means the public is actually backing the perceived inferior team, an uncommon tendency.

As far as totals bets, three unders, the Browns-Jets at 71 and the Panthers-Jaguars, and Chiefs-Texans both at 69 are tied with an over the Giants-Cowboys on Sunday Night Football as the most widespread over/under wagers.

The famed Hilton SuperContest has a different road chalk as the most popular bet: 664 contestants chose the Miami Dolphins over Washington laying 3.5. Aforementioned Arizona is next at 589. However, shockingly a road dog, the St. Louis Rams getting four to Seattle are next with 474 picks. The Jets and Packers round out the top five at 381 and 380.

Going back to preseason, Joe Duffy’s Picks is 13-4 in the NFL and we are literally just getting started. We are 23-11 with all Wise Guys many being MLB underdogs and are 25-12 with all football since preseason.

Sportsbook Intel on College Football Picks From Bettors

Sports handicapping picks has the first big day of college football odds on Saturday. The public has taken partisan stands on several bets, all on favorites of several touchdowns at home, or the lone no-such-an-exception on a significant road favorite.

Arkansas has gotten a stunning 82 percent of bets, but as it especially the case early in the season in which gamblers prefer perceived certainty, the Razorbacks are overwhelming 33-point favorites hosting UTEP.

Not startlingly another large chalk NC State laying 26-points to Tryo is the second most popular bet in terms of percentage at 79. Tennessee laying 20.5 at home to Bowling Green at 73 percent, Georgia laying 35 to Louisiana Monroe, and Oklahoma -31.5 to Akron are all getting more than 70 percent of public bets. All are playing at home.

Penn State laying 6.5 and juice or seven and getting back slight juice on the road is also a popular wager at 72 percent. They are at in-state rival Temple.

The Florida Atlantic-Tulsa total has jumped from 62 to 66.5 thanks in no small part to 96 percent of bets on the over. The aforesaid Penn State over has 90 percent, forcing the low 38.5 opener to 40. Bowling Green-Tennessee over has 93 percent of bets, bumping the total from 60 to 64.

Don Best Odds, Sportsbook Public Consensus Percentages

Though there are only five games in the Don Best FBS rotation on Friday’s college football betting portfolio, two substantial favorites ensure public betting spread percentages have clear-cut choices among the betting masses.

Mike Godsey, long-time consultant to OffshoreInsiders.com anchor service Joe Duffy’s Picks explains, “The public prefers the assumed certainty of betting the superior team, especially early in the season when their confidence level is much higher on the better team.” Many sharps believe this creates opportunity in high-value underdogs before the public becomes only slightly more courageous in anteing up on underdogs or smaller favorites.

A jaw-dropping 81 percent of gamblers are betting on Baylor. After opening up at (-34), the Bears are as high as a 36.5-point favorite despite the fact that road favorites of more than 35 points are only 24-35 against the spread since 1983.

Another substantial considerable road favorite, Michigan State laying 18-points at Western Michigan is getting 78 percent of the sports bettors’ action. Georgia State laying 7.5 at home also has 78 percent of the wagers, though that line has skyrocketed from an opener of (-4).

However, there is one underdog receiving love from the gambling public. Kent getting 14.5-points from Illinois has 64 percent of picks. The Illini is reeling from the recent firing of already-embattled head coach Tim Beckman.

Las Vegas Strip and offshore football pickers are not making as declarative statements on totals. The Baylor-SMU over and Washington-Boise State under each have 64 percent of the public’s support.

Joe Duffy’s Picks enters the week on a 12-3 football run, thanks to NFL preseason. All his bets are posted at OffshoreInsiders.com

NFL Draft Odds Posted; Marcus Mariota Props, Jameis Winston Projected First

NFL Draft Odds Posted; Marcus Mariota Props, Jameis Winston Projected FirstNFL draft odds are posted at many offshore books. The two highest profile players in the draft are the two most recent Heisman Trophy sensations, Jameis Winston and Marcus Mariota. Once considered a dead-heat between the two, the former Florida State signal caller Winston is an exorbitant 2/13 favorite to be drafted No. 1. This means gamblers would have to risk $130 to win $20. He is at 4-1 to go second or lower.

The erratic stock of the most recent Heisman winner Mariota is back on the rise according to most respect mock drafts. The team currently in possession of the second pick, the Tennessee Titans are the favorite to get him. Sports betting experts do not trust that the Cleveland Browns are buying into Johnny Manziel purported lifestyle epiphany as Cleveland is tied with the New York Jets are 7/2 to be Mariota’s landing spot on draft day.

The complete list from Sportsbook.ag is below:

Which team will draft Marcus Mariota?

Titans 7/5
Browns 7/2
Jets 7/2
Buccaneers 4/1
Rams 15/2
Redskins 12/1
Chargers 15/1
Bears 18/1
Bills 20/1
Texans 20/1

Over/unders are posted on three top wide receivers: Amari Cooper at 5.5 (with slight juice on the under), Kevin White at 7.5, and Melvin Gordon at 21.5 (juiced to the over). Though oddsmakers believe the top two picks could be quarterbacks, no other signal callers are likely to go in the first round. The over-under on quarterbacks selected in round one is 2.5 but under odds are a very steep 2/13 with over unlikely at 4-1.
